CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS (the "Rules")

No purchase is necessary to win.

CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest is being held by North City Insurance Brokers (the “Contest Sponsor”) and begins 12:01AM EST on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, and will end at 11:59PM EST on Monday, June 30th, 2025 (the “Contest Period”), after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Contest, an individual must be:

• the age of majority in Canada or older at the time of entry; and
• a permanent resident of Canada; and
• an individual must request a quote on a personal home or auto insurance policy from a North City Insurance Brokers broker in Canada; and
• be an active or retired member of a Paramedic Service in Ontario

Contest Sponsor, their respective parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Contest (the above requirements collectively constitute all “Eligible Persons”).

HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. To enter without purchase or obligation, an individual must complete a personal home or auto insurance quote with a North City Insurance Brokers broker in Canada. Current North City Insurance Brokers customers are automatically entered into the contest. The individual must provide their last name, first name (excluding any nickname), age, full address with postal code, telephone number with area code, email address. Upon receipt of this information by the Contest Sponsor, the individual will automatically have one (1) entry in the Contest. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. The odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries received. Offers may change without notice.

PRIZE

One of five $100 Amazon Gift Cards (“the Prize”) will be awarded to a winner as selected by random draw. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash surrender value and must be accepted by the Winner as awarded. The Contest Sponsor does not make any express or implied warranty about the Prize, and, as such, is not responsible for any dissatisfaction with the Prize or for any taxes, landing and departure fees, and other charges and surcharges that may be applicable. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that the specified Prize is unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Contest Sponsor’s control. The Contest Sponsor will deliver the Prize to the Winner via the email address provided. The Winner must meet all other eligibility criteria as well as any applicable company policies of the Contest Sponsor.

SELECTION

There will be a random draw for the Prize at the main office located at 290 Rowntree Dairy Road, Woodbridge, Ontario. Individuals entered into the contest will have a chance at winning one of five $100 Amazon Gift Cards.  The draw date will take place on July 8th, 2025. Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email to claim the prize within 5 business days. If a winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize within 5 business days, a new winner will be selected. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest should an event beyond its reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest, or for any other reason whatsoever. The Contest Sponsor and its affiliates may, at their sole discretion and without liability, rescind or amend this Contest at any time.

Any person entering this Contest or trying to do so by any means which would be unfair to the other entrants, contrary to the Rules or illegal, including computer hacking, amongst others, will be automatically disqualified and may be subject to prosecution, as the case may be. Decisions by the Contest Sponsor in regards to this paragraph are final and binding.

By entering this Contest, each Selected Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Contest Sponsor: (i) by providing your insurance renewal date, personal contact details and entering this contest, you consent to be contacted by a North City Insurance Brokers Insurance Advisor. You also consent to receiving commercial electronic communications from North City Insurance Brokers for the purposes of providing you a quote for the supply of insurance services. You may withdraw your consent at any time, (ii) shall have no liability of any kind whatsoever with respect to this Contest and/or the awarding or use of the prize, (iii) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the prize, (iv) disclaim any implied warranty, and (v) are not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from the entrant’s acceptance or use of the prize or otherwise from such entrant’s participation in this Contest, and (vi) are not liable for any claim arising from a the Selected Entrant’s use of or dissatisfaction with a prize.

By entering this Contest, the Selected Entrant authorizes the Contest Sponsor to use as required, his/her name, photograph, picture, place of residence, voice and (or) statement in connection with the Prize, for advertising purposes, without remuneration or compensation of any kind.

Neither the Contest Sponsor nor the Insurer is liable for any faulty computer components, software, or links, the loss or nonexistence of communications capability or faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased telephone, mail, computer or network transmissions that make it difficult or renders any person(s) unable to enter or win the Contest. The Contest Sponsor waives any responsibility for any damages or loss incurred, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any software or any form and by the transmission of any data relating to participation in the Contest.

The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for website loading, screening or posting errors, software, hardware, mail, telephone, network or server errors and the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate, or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, in the event a virus, computer bug, unauthorized human intervention, or any other occurrence beyond their control corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, impartiality or normal operation of the Contest.

Entries are the property of the Contest Sponsor.

For the purposes of these Rules, the entrant is the person who meets the Eligibility criteria above. This is the person who will be awarded the prize if selected and declared a winner.

The Contest Sponsor may, for any reason and at its sole discretion, amend these Rules at any time during the Contest Period.

By entering this Contest, you acknowledge having read these Rules and agree to abide by them.
