New Car Guarantee
Group members in Ontario can now choose a new way of protecting their new vehicle purchase when they buy auto insurance from Aviva Traders General. The New Car Guarantee plugs the gap between the original purchase price and current value of a customer’s vehicle in the event of a total loss.
The New Car Guarantee goes a step further:
· Depreciation protection for up to five years. The customer can choose their term.
· Coverage for any increase in the retail price of their vehicle.
· Coverage for owned or leased vehicles.
· The ability to cover ex-demonstrator vehicles up to 10,000km.
· The option to switch from the existing two-year product.
The New Car Guarantee builds on the already popular two-year waiver of depreciation option, which plugs the gap between the original purchase price and current value of a customer’s vehicle in the event of a total loss.
The New Car Guarantee goes a step further, covering depreciation for up to five years, and any increase in the retail price of the vehicle. Customers will now have the choice of the simpler two-year waiver of depreciation (OPCF43) or the enhanced five-year product (NPCF43) in Ontario. Both apply to private passenger vehicles and are on sale now
