OUR BROKER COMPENSATION (Auto Disclosure)

Thank you for your business. North City operates as a niche marketer with almost exclusive focus on insurance to endorsed Groups. To best serve our Group members we have negotiated exclusive group rates with Traders General Insurance Company (Traders).

Traders only insure large groups, generally composed of selective risk categories. The rates offered by Traders reflect preferred risks and are more competitive than the rates offered through the traditional retail brokerage market.

As your Group Insurance Broker, our role is also to provide you with the best insurance value consistent with personalized service. This includes professional insurance advice, ongoing policy maintenance with support and counselling when you have a claim. When any issue arises regarding your insurance coverage, we are your advocate using our professional experience and the influence of your Group sponsor to best represent your individual interest.

Brokerage compensation is part of your insurance premium. We have listed below Automobile Insurers that we represent and the range of compensation each provides as a percentage of your overall premium.

· Traders General – (Group) - 7% to 11.5% * (1)

· Aviva Pilot Insurance Company – 8.5% to 15.5% *

· Kingsway General- (Non-standard auto) – 5% to 12.5%

· Elite –(Motorhomes) - 12.5%

· Jevco-(Motor cycles) - 15%

· Royal Sunalliance - (facility) (2)

(1)Traders General also includes additional compensation for our service in return for complete underwriting, set-up and processing of each policy. This commission reduces on renewal.

(2) Compensation is capped at $250.00

* Contingent profit agreements in place.
